Some Of My Favorite Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity...
1- Finish all your sentences with 'In Accordance With the Prophecy'

2- As often as possible, skip rather than walk

3- Specify that your drive-thru order is 'to go'

4- Sing along at the opera

5- When the money comes out of the ATM, scream 'I WON! I WON!'

6- Tell your children over dinner that 'due to the economy, we're going to have to let one of you go.'

7- Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood.

MY favorite:

8- When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling: 'RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!! THEY'RE LOOSE!!!'

The wrapper of the chocolate I opened this afternoon said "Always Sing Along With The Elevator Music" :)

Could someone please explain

Why it is currently 29 degrees colder here than it is in Alaska? And 37 degrees colder than Moscow, Russia??? Something is wrong with this picture....

Oh, and btw with the wind chill it's almost 20 below here.... BRRR!!!!!

Is Summer over already?

I was outside today changing the banner at work and I noticed a hint of cool autumn air in the wind.

AHH!!!!!! I'm not ready for it to be autumn yet!!!!

Indian summer where are you!

rain, rain, rain

Well... for the last 5 days or we have had torrential rain every night. Thankfully, unlike a lot of towns in our part of the country, we haven't been flooded out.

But, when I went into work this morning. We had 2 inches of water in our basement office! So. I spent most of the morning squeegeeing water towards the drain. Apparently the back flow valve on the sump-pump was broken. So, I was also trying to empty out the sump-pump one 5 gallon bucket full up the stairs at a time. 2 buckets just got to heavy after a while. Thankfully, our plummer came quickly and fixed the sump-pump. So I only had to do cleanup. Rain is fun, and good for the ground and crops and all. But I've had enough for now. And I'm sure the rest of the mid-west would agree. I'm just very thankful that God has protected us from this.

Spring has sprung!!!

I'm so happy!! It was 70 degrees on Tuesday!!!! Most of the snow we got, only 2 weeks ago.

There are green stems starting to poke their heads through the wet earth.



Makes me think of that song.
"When I see that little lily
pushing up that heavy clod
then I marvel at the wisdom of my God"

It's so nice to not have to bundle up just to go to your car. Or walk around the house with extra clothes on to keep warm. I LOVE spring!!!!


Of course now that I am finally posting this 2 days later. We had sleet and a little bit of snow last night. hehe.. But what do you expect, it's March.
